Howard Owen French, 85, of Sedalia, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at Fair View
Nursing Home.

He was born November 24, 1920, in Pettis County, Missouri, a son of Ernest
Owen and Alice L. Abeldt Flemming. On August 7, 1947, in Sedalia, he married Phyllis
E. Grady, who died March 19, 1987. He was predeceased by a step-father, A.L. (Buck)
Fleming and mother.

Mr. French was an electrician and worked for Home Builders Corporation. He
was United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a licensed Ham operator  and
work with the civil defense. He lived in Sedalia most of his life.

Survivors include a son, Mike French and his wife, Cherylann, of Belfair, WA;
a granddaughter, Michelle Kane and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services  will be held at 1:30p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Heckart
Gillespie Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.

Pallbearers will be members of VFW Post 2591

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2591
will conduct full military honors at the graveside .

The family  will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m and  friends may call after
8:30 a.m. , Wednesday at the funeral home.
