William Benedict "Bill" Fritz, 39, of Sedalia, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born February 26, 1964, in Elgin, Illinois, son of Francis Lester and Janet Benedict Fritz. On June 15, 1990, in Lakenheath, England, he was married to Amanda Rhoads, who survives of the home.
Mr. Fritz was a member of Antioch Fellowship Church. He enjoyed all types of music, art, writing and drama. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children. He was studying and training to be in ministry. He served as a fire fighter at Whiteman Air Force Base and had served in the Persian Gulf War. He was currently working at Tyson Foods as a quality assurance technician. He and his family had lived in Sedalia since 1998.
Also surviving are four sons, Nathaniel Benedict Fritz, Benjamin Rhoads Fritz, Caleb Elijah Fritz and Joshua Michael Fritz, all of the home; his parents, of Cookeville, Tennessee; two brothers, Charles Fritz, of Wisconsin, and Paul Fritz, of Stockton, Illinois; and a sister, Amy Mengler, of McHenry, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 20 at Antioch Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Harvey Miller and the Rev. Steve Graff officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Cox, Jack Dieckman, Scott Marchbanks, Henry Roberts, Tim Schultz and Rick Tolliver.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Antioch Fellowship Church.
