Stephen Douglas Garrison, 50, of Sedalia, died Sunday, September 25, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, following a long battle with kidney disease.

He was born February 24, 1955, in Sedalia, a son of Homer Eli and Mildred Lorene Woodall Garrison.

Mr. Garrison was a member of Parkview Christian Church, where he was involved in the bus ministry. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and spending time with his family and his granddaughter.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennell L. Relle, of Clifton City; a son, Tom Nerad, of Chicago, Ill.; his stepmother, Helen Garrison, of Smithton; three brothers, Michael D. Garrison, of Hume, William James Garrison, of Smithton, and George Arville Garrison, of Smithton; and a granddaughter, Karmya Starr Bronson.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Ronald Eugene Garrison.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Brown and the Rev. Bill Boatman officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bill Mann, Paul Anderson, Gene Anderson, Randall Woodall, Darren Woodall and Ed Arnett.

Burial will be in Flat Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to National Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
