Glenda was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She retired from W.T. Grants Co. where she worked as a receiving manager. Glenda enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching baseball and being with her grandchildren.
Glenda is survived by a daughter, Debbie Fowler and her husband Danny of Sedalia, four granddaughters, Jaime Diehl of Wagner, OK., Lindsey Withers of Sedalia, Shannon Fowler of Platte City, and Jennifer Magyar of Kansas City, one grandson, Andy Fowler of Sedalia, seven great-grandchildren, Cierra, Jordon, Janae, Jake, Joe, Gentry, and Mya, one sister, Margaret Bradley of Sedalia, and one brother, Rev. Orval Woolery of Joplin.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Earl, Jewell, Omar, and Ralph Woolery, two sisters, Alma Koester, and Wilma Schonning.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Hague officiating.
Casket bearers will be Gary Robbins, Sam Bradley, Troy Doolady, Charlie Thomas, Chris Flandermeyer, and Pat Long.
Honorary bearers will be Pauline Gehlken, Wanda Schauwecker, Gene Busker, Andy Fowler, Ed Magyer, and Justin Withers
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorials contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sedalia.
Glenda E. Davis, 76, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born November 27, 1932, in Glenstead, Missouri, a daughter of Rowen and Goldie McCray Woolery. On March 22, 1952, in Marshall, she married George L. Davis, who died March 8, 1992.
