Mrs. Gerlt was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and spending time with grandkids and family.

Surviving are two sons, Phillip C. Gerlt, and his wife, Cindy, and Manuel B. Gerlt, and his wife, Linda, all of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Mary Gerlt, Caroline Gerlt, Letitia Gerlt and William Gerlt.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sylvan Woolery and Woodrow Woolery.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Brady Abel officiating.

Casket bearers will be Ed Sanders, Gary Case, Don Barbour, Chris Grateke, Dale Ray and Kris Knight.

Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Immanuel United Church of Christ or Parkview Christian Church.

Sunshine B. Gerlt, 93, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday morning, August 23, 2009, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born February 15, 1916, in Versailles, the daughter of William H. and Letitia M. Richardson Woolery. On September 7, 1940, in Hermitage, she was married to Marvin J. Gerlt, who died April 9, 1996.
