Gladys Viola Martin-Grogran, 100, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born May 31, 1904, in Houstonia, daughter of William and Ada Lou Sink Champion. On November 25, 1924, in Warrensburg, she was married to William A. Martin, who died September 23, 1967. In 1973, she was married to Mac Grogan, who died in 1975.

Mrs. Grogan was a member of Parkview Christian Church and Turkey Creek Extension Club in Warsaw, where she served as president in 1966. She worked at Lamy Manufacturing for ten years. She was a graduate of Smithton High School.

Survivors include a son, Bill Martin, of Sedalia; two daughters, Bernice Lovins, of Kansas City, and Patricia Lou Bushman, of Florida; two step children; eight grandchildren; five step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Matchael, Jon Detherage, Rick Thomas, Frank Fowler, Butch Seifner and Leon Cumpton.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

Friends may call from 12-5 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Parkview Christian Church.
