Mrs. Walter was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church. She enjoyed
gardening and being close to nature. She loved her family, especially her
grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and had lived in Pettis County all of her life.

Surviving are a son, Benjamin Walter, and his wife, Jeanie, of Columbia; three
grandchildren, William “Dustin” Walter, Stuart Andrew Walter and Beth Ann
Hays; and four great grandchildren, Amity, Kate, Clair and Ben.

She was predeceased by her parents; and two sisters, Gertrude Allcorn and
Marjorie Morris.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Smithton Cemetery, with the Rev. H. Wayne Isgriggs officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ben Walter, Dustin Walter, Shawn Hays and Stuart Walter.
                               
Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to East Sedalia Baptist Church.
Goldie Mae Walter, 90, of Sedalia, died Wed., Jan. 18, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born Sept. 19, 1915, on a farm west of Smithton, a daughter of William Dustin and Ann Hudson Morris. On October 12, 1934, in Carrollton, she was married to Benjamin Homer Walter, who died July 3, 2005.
