Ms. Harsch attended elementary school at Camp Branch School, graduating from eighth grade in 1963. She was a 1967 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She graduated from Central Missouri State University, and later University of Missouri- Columbia, gaining certification in elementary education.

She taught in elementary education for several years. She lived on a farm and raised cattle for a number of years. She was a member of Antioch Fellowship Church and State Fair Saddle Club. She enjoyed horseback riding, growing flowers and reading.

Surviving are her father and stepmother, Leland and Iola Harsch, of Smithton; a sister, Kathy Grandfield, and her husband, Rob, of Livermore, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews, Ryan Grandfield, Jillian Grandfield, Uriah Edwards Harsch, Ariel Brunner, Kaleah Harsch and Isaiah Harsch.

She was predeceased by her mother, Jean Harsch; and a brother, Kenny Harsch.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006, at Antioch Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Harvey Miller and the Rev. Steve Graff officiating.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah Harsch, Uriah Edwards Harsch, Rob Grandfield, Ryan Grandfield, Jim Pendergraft and Brian Pendergraft.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Antioch Fellowship Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Judith Jean Harsch, 57, of Smithton, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at her home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1949, in Sedalia, a daughter of Leland Fred and Jean Oelrichs Harsch.
