Mitchel Carl Hartley, 94, of Sedalia, died Thursday, October 7, 2004, at Fair
View Nursing Home.
He was born December 11, 1909, in Pattensburg, Missouri, son of Alfred Lee
and Anna Persinger Hartley. In 1935, in Troy, Missouri, he was married to Beulah G. Hosey, who died May 31, 2000.
Mr. Hartley was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving
from 1941 to 1945. He was a staff sergeant in the 571st Air Service Squadron in Egypt.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Chester Hartley, and his wife,
Edith, of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Loyd Allee, of Sedalia, and Virginia Wyrick, of Eldon; a brother-in-law, Earl Hosey, of Eldon; and a nephew, Kenneth Williams.
He was predeceased by five sisters, Cleo Hartley, Pearl Meyers, Alfi Acie
Womelduff, Avil Hulet and Bernice Crabtree.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest
Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, with the Rev. Jimmy Gear officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Williams, Steve Allee, Kenney Williams, Glen
McCall, Dave Burkhardt and Larry Williams.
Friends may call from 1-5 p.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
