Freeman Hayes, 56, of Sedalia, died Thursday, August 21, 2003, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born December 21, 1946, in Westphalia, Kansas, son of Arthur Glen and Carolyn Becker Hayes. On March 26, 1973, in Las Vegas, he married Deborah Kincaid, who survives of the home.
Mr. Hayes was employed at Waterloo Industries for 24 years and had lived in Sedalia since 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hayes of the home; two sons, Chris Hayes of Kitzingen, Germany and David Hayes, Giessen of Germany; a daughter, Nina Cote of Sedalia; six grand babies; his mother, Carolyn Hayes; two sisters, Glenda Anderson and Yvonne O'Grady; and a brother, Nelson Hayes. He preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Hayes
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev Dr. Donald Allcorn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob Durham, Jesse Vansel, Robert Tylar, Jack Herndon, Charles Kincaid and John Sandy.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 noon Sunday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
