Mrs. Heckart attended Parkway Free Will Baptist Church.  She worked as an office secretary for W&M Welding. Mary and her husband owned Freese Dairy and Certified Welding for several years. She liked to play games and cards. She enjoyed growing strawberries. Mary lived most of her life in Pettis County.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Rich and his wife Valerie, of Oklahoma and
Russell Rich, of Warrensburg. Six grandchildren; her mother, Anna M. McMullin, of Sedalia; two brothers, Kenneth McMullin, of Haysville, Kansas and Charles McMullin, of Stover; three sisters, Wanda Flippin, Anlita Bostian  and Linda Vinson, all of Sedalia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Talbott officiating.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Baslee, Mitch Baslee, Keith Rowland, Wayne
McMullin, Don Seifner, and Delbert Wagenknecht.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Parkway Free Will Baptist Church.

Mary Anna Heckart, 67, of Waverly, formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Apple Ridge Care Center, Waverly.

She was born March 29, 1940, in Pettis County, a daughter of William Arthur and Anna M Wear McMullin.  She was married to Francis (Buddy) Rich and he predeceased her. On March 31, 1972 in Sedalia she married  Daniel Heckart and he predeceased her on September 17, 1991
