Mr. Hemme was a welder at DeLong’s, Inc. in Sedalia. He enjoyed hunting, riding his four-wheeler and playing with his grandchildren.
Also surviving are a stepson, Cory Jett, and his wife, Kati, of Sedalia; two stepdaughters, Kendra Jett, of Sedalia, and Nancy Surber, and her husband, Larry, of Malta Bend; his parents, of Marshall; his stepmother, Marsha Hemme, of Marshall; five grandchildren, Kendal, Jerry and Larry Surber, and Rylee and Jazlyn Jett; two brothers, Mark Hemme, and his wife, Sherry, of Cole Camp, and Gary Hemme, and his wife, Melissa, of Sedalia; two sisters, Kathy Johnson, and her husband, Greg, of Marshall, and Faith Cornine, and her companion, Bobby Brown, of Houstonia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard McDaniel and Dennis Hemme.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Dameron officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mark Knowles, Jamie Cornine, Curtis Cornine, Robert McCracken,
Zachary Bay and Bobby Brown.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Steven Robert Hemme, 45, of Sedalia, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, in Sedalia.
He was born Jan. 13, 1963, in Marshall, a son of Robert O. Hemme and Shirley Breshears. On Feb. 12, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev., he was married to Robin L. Thomas Jett, who survives of the home.
