Norman Eugene Holden, 67, Sedalia, died Monday, morning June 7, 2004 at his home.

He was born September 15, 1936, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, son of William and Emma Holden.  In 1969 he married Maybelle Holden who died in 1995.

Mr. Holden was a catholic.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591 where he served on the Honor Guard.  He was a retired United States Army Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Kay Clay, Headrick, Oklahoma; Donna McLaughlin, Texas City, Texas; two sons, Keith Holden, Abilene, Texas; William Amos Holden, Orlando, Florida; three brothers, John Holden, Bill Holden and Wayne Holden, all of Wisconsin; a twin sister, Norma Rogney, Wisconsin, 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a great grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri with the Father Vincent Hoying officiating.

Pallbearers will be Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel. 

The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association.
