Vera Lee Hutcheson, 82, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009, at her son's home in Sedalia.

She was born December 28, 1926, in Booneville, Arkansas, daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Beulah Finnell Cowley. On May 13, 1951, in Ponca City, OK, she married Wayne J. Hutcheson, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Hutcheson was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Magazine High School in Magazine, Arkansas. She lived to serve her family.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Billy D. Hutcheson, and his wife, Ruth E., and Don Hutcheson, and his wife, Sharon, all of Sedalia; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Cowley, of Cushing, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 9, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, with the Rev. Craig Bowen officiating.

Casket bearers will be Joe Dove, Sam Dove, Bill Dove, Randy Welpman, Daniel Welpman, and Brian Welpman.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
