Shirley Mae Hyde, 77, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday evening, May 23, 2009, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born May 14, 1932, in Darlington, MO, a daughter of Roy C. and Freda Uhrich Whitmore. On May 2, 1953, in Ratone, NM, she married Kenneth Gordon Hyde, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Hyde rode motorcycles, raced cars, flew airplanes, and enjoyed bowling and fishing.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Kenneth Robert Hyde, of Sedalia; two daughters, Connie L. Glatz, of Florida, and Cherie L. Harden Whitlow, of Sedalia; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and seven sisters, Beverly Schott, Carol Whitmore, Judy Riggs, Dixie Rutherford, Sharon McKay, Patricia Young and Linda Owens, all of Greeley, CO.
She was predeceased by a son, Steven L. Nazarenus; and two brothers, Kenneth and Calvin Whitmore.
Services will be held at a later date, with burial in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
