Mr. Imhauser was raised on the family farm east of Sedalia and lived all his life in
Pettis County. He was educated at Sacred Heart Elementary and graduated from Smithton
High School.
Mr. Imhauser enlisted in the Army in 1952. He was a combat veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 140th Tank Division. He was honorably discharged as sergeant. After
his military service, he began farming north of Houstonia. He worked for Callis Farms in
later years. He enjoyed farming and was always interested in new ideas and modern
agriculture. He loved driving around in his pick-up truck and he always had a story to tell.
Surviving are two sons, Bill Imhauser, and his wife, Becky, of Sedalia, and Bret Imhauser, and his wife, Marie, of Arkansas; two daughters, Cheri Cunningham, and her
husband, Ron, of Sedalia, and Kathy Meeks, and her husband, Loren, of Independence; a
brother, Carl Imhauser, of Arkansas; and seven grandchildren, Lora Meeks, Leslie Meeks,
Lucas Meeks, Joe Carr, Leah Carr, Sarah Cunningham and Quincey Cunningham.
He was predeceased by his parents; his stepmother, Helen Dale Walton Imhauser; and a brother, Lawrence Joseph Imhauser.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Summers, Joe Carr, Lucas Meeks, Marvin Gibson, Matt Green and Kenny Martin.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Philip William Imhauser Jr., 74, of Sedalia, died Friday, August 4, 2006.
He was born May 27, 1932, in Sedalia, the oldest son of Philip W. Sr. and Sophia Hain Imhauser. On June 18, 1954, he was married to Ella Dean Brereton.
