James Edward Anderson, 94, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit.
He was born June 12, 1913, in Windsor, Missouri a son of James Wesley and Alma Easley Anderson. On Nov. 14, 1937, in Sedalia, he married Berniece Russell, who died
Feb. 13, 1996.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Sedalia Lodge
No. 236 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Mason, Sedalia Shrine Club, and Past Patron of Sedalia
Chapter 57 Order of the Eastern Star. He was treasurer of Town and Country Credit
Union for 32 years, retiring in 1977. He live most of his life in Sedalia.
Survivors include a son, James R. Anderson, and his wife, Sharon, of Festus, Mo.;
a daughter, Donna Anderson, of Lee’s Summit; four grandchildren, Mark McDonald, Lori Harris, Robynne Halbrook, and Courtney Wagner; and seven great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, at Heckart Funeral
Home, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Lockhart officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob McCardy, Russell Ulmer, Bob McDonald, Jim Harris and Jim
Halbrook.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
with Masonic services beginning at 6:30 p.m. Condolences may also be sent online at
