John Edward England, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday evening, November 11, 2009, at his home.

He was born July 12, 1928, in Sedalia, the son of Charles and Willa Simpson England. On November 6, 1947, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Beulah Mae Litz. Following their marriage, three years later, John enlisted in the Navy. They were stationed in California and Guam. Once his tour ended they resided in Sedalia. He joined the Electrical Local Union No. 124 I.B.E.W He was also a member of State Fair Saddle Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Charles W. England.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah Mae England, of the home; a son, Richard Wayne England, of the home; a daughter, Connie Beth Dove, and her husband, Bill, of Green Ridge; two grandsons, Dennis James Greener and Aaron Robert Dove; a granddaughter, Chelsie Nicole Dove, all of Green Ridge; a sister, Shirley Fender, and her husband, Jim, of Lee's Summit; and a brother, Bob England, of Indianapolis, IN.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Chapman officiating.

Casket bearers will be D.J. Greener, Rick England, Donnie Sparks, Jim Sparks, Dave Moriarity, and Emmett Fairfax.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with military honors by VFW Post 2591.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the University of Missouri Extension 4-H Horsemanship program of Pettis County, 1012A Thompson Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301.
