Edna Isabelle Johnson, 90, of Sedalia, died Monday, January 26, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born July 20, 1913, in Pettis County, daughter of Oscar Ellsworth and Florence Sigman Jeffries. On September 21, 1929, in Sedalia, she married James Floyd Johnson, who died February 21, 2001.

Mrs. Johnson was a charter member of Parkview Christian Church. She loved to quilt and spend time with her grandchildren. 

Survivors include two sons, Frank Johnson and Gary Johnson, both of Sedalia; a daughter, Virginia Gibson, of LaFeria, Texas; a sister, Frances M. Robbins, of Des Moines, Iowa; a half sister, Maxine Sisemore, of Gardner, Kansas; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, James Floyd Johnson, Jr.; a brother, Oscar E. Jeffries; a half brother, William Raines; a sister, Rosella Jones; and a half sister, Anna Mae Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 29 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.                                    

Pallbearers will be Jay Johnson, Don Keele, Mike Crawford, Charlie Crawford, Bobby Odom and Tom Cunningham.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Parkview Christian Church.
