She owned and operated Katzinger Salvage Co. from 1943 to 1969 in Sedalia, Missouri. Sadie loved visiting with her family and sharing stories of “the olden days.” She enjoyed quilting, visiting with the elderly, and entertaining holiday parties at her home. Sadie enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas.
Sadie is survived by a sister, Goldie Salmons and a brother, Bud Stout and his wife, Marchetta of Sedalia, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Stout and Ethel Beymers, and two brothers Harry Stout and Joe Stout, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Sherman officiating
Pallbearers are Don Jurgenson, Wade Norton, Charles Grace, Eddie Colvin, Gene Colvin, and Charles Salmons. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Grace, Mitch Grace, Kirtley Salmons, Jack Jones, Senator Jim Matheson, Scott Ridgeway, and Joe Stout, Jr.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday June 8, 2008 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at HeckartFuneral Home.
In lien of flowers Memorial Contributions are suggested to the family in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
Sadie Mae Katzinger, 93, of Sedalia, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at the Four Seasons Living Center.
She was born April 14, 1915 in Sedalia, Missouri, daughter of Herman and Mable Crum Stout. Sadie was married November 5, 1938 to Herman “Katzie” Katzinger, who preceded her in death in June 3, 1962.
