Mrs. Kehl was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, needle work, gardening, and loved her pets. She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Pettis County.
Survivors include two sons, John G. Kehl, and Roy W. Kehl, both of Smithton; a daughter, Karen Kay Kehl, of Smithton; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister, Sarah Walls, of Independence; a half brother, George Barrett; and a half sister Hazel Lairson.
She was predeceased by a son, Harold Eugene Kehl; a sister, Justine McNish and a brother Earl Barrett.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008, at Heckart Funeral
Home, with Rev. Bill Boatman officiating.
Burial will be in Flat Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Children’s Therapy Center.
Martha Lee Kehl, 79, of Smithton, died Sunday, November 23, 2008, at her home.
She was born April 4, 1929, in Knob Town, Missouri, a daughter of George Lee and Martha Kasak Barrett. On June 15, 1946, in LaMonte, she married Harold William Kehl, who died June 4, 1994.
