a life member of CWA Union Local 6314, and a life member of Telephone Pioneers. He enjoyed hunting and working crossword puzzles. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1987. He also owned and operated a cow and calf operation. He was a 1949 graduate of Syracuse High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1954. He earned the rank of staff sergeant.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sandra Lynn Otten, and her husband, Ron, of Otterville;
two sons, Ronald Lee Allee, and his wife, Julie, of Creighton, and Timmie Jay Allee, and his wife, Lisa, of Sedalia; his mother, Mabel Allee, of Otterville; three sisters, Fern Hutchison, of Tipton, Linda Sue Hirst and Beverly Jo Stone, both of Otterville; two brothers, James Roy Allee, of Montana, and Charles Wayne Allee, of Texas; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Otten, Molly Nussbaum, Sara Allee, Hillary Allee, Drew Allee, Angie Allee, Corissa Allee, Jessica Allee, Meghan Allee and Mitchell Allee; and three great grandchildren, Mackenzie Allee, Harley Allee and Mattie Nussbaum. He was predeceased by his father.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Ed Broyles officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Robin Dennis, Arthur Twenter, Matt Lane, Eric
Cornine and Larry Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Ramey, Randall Blankenship and Don Kabler.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with military honors conducted by VFW Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.

V. Lee Allee, 74, of Sedalia, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at his home.

He was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Bunceton, a son of G.L. and Mabel Hurt Allee. On June 24, 1951, in Otterville, he was married to Marjorie Lorene Finley, who survives of the home.

Mr. Allee was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591,
