Mr. Lamp owned his own landscaping construction business in California and later owned rental houses. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his work and liked helping people. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Connie Allnutt, and husband, Edward, of Chillicothe, and Linda Krebs, and husband, Fred, of Wamego, KS; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Ronny Lamp, and his wife, Debbie; seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Corbett Martin officiating.
Casket bearers will be Brian Bowman, Jeff Lamp, Jeff Bowman, Ed Allnut, Fred Krebs and Herb Shull.
Burial will be in May Cemetery near Chillicothe.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Bothwell Hospice or Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Clifford Jack Lamp, 84, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009, at his home.
He was born January 25, 1925, in Livingston County, MO, a son of Samuel and Anna Nibarger Lamp. On February 23, 1946, in Albert Lea, MN, he was married to Georgia F. Dust, who survives of the home.
