Beverly Ann Lane, 65, of Sedalia, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at her home.
She was born May 21, 1940, in Sedalia, daughter of Melvin C. and Monnie Belle Stevens Burnett. On July 25, 1958, in Sedalia, she married Bobby Joe Lane, who died June 15, 1963.
Mrs. Lane was a member of the Emmet Avenue Baptist Church and the Missouri Teachers Association. She was a graduate of Central Missouri State University with a master's degree in elementary administration. She had been an elementary school teacher at Smithton Elementary School.
Surviving are a son, Russell Andrew Lane, and his wife, Bonni, of Smithton; two daughters, Penny Ann McNew and her husband, Darryl, of Jefferson City, and Susan Lynn Bailey, and her husband, Dan, of Sedalia; a sister, Phyllis Lynn May, of Smithton; a brother, Melvin Patrick Burnett, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Jacob D. Bailey, Jeremiah D. Bailey, Elizabeth A. Lane and Hallye Jo Lane.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery at a later time. The family suggests contributions to Bothwell Hospice.
