Ralph D. Lee, of 92, Sedalia, died Monday, May 12, 2003, at his home.
He was born October 10, 1910, in Beaman, Missouri, son of Lawrence F. and Lottie Glenn Lee. On January 22, 1942, in Sedalia, he married Jessie B. Bradbury Homan, who died December 11, 1980.
Mr. Lee was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He had been a member of Modern Woodman since 1928. He was a farmer and enjoyed gardening. He had lived in the Sedalia area all of his life.
Survivors include a sister, Allene McClain of Sedalia; a step-son, Edwin L. Homan of Sedalia; four step- grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; a step-great-great grandchild; and three nephews, Eldon McClain and Glenn Lee, both of Sedalia, and Dennis Lee of Chatham, Virginia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Delana Lee in infancy; and two brothers, Lawrence (Bud) Lee and Riley H. Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Michael Winn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Charles (Pete) Brown, Dennis Lee, Glenn Lee, Eldon McClain, Bobby Smith and Keith Venable.
Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
