Robert Dean Lemmon, 81, of Sedalia, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Rosendale, MO, a son of Loyd and Mabel Miller Lemmon. On Dec. 14, 1946, in Sedalia, he was married to Verna Marie Gregory, who survives of the home.
Mr. Lemmon was a graduate of Rosendale High School and Central Business College in Sedalia. He served as an Army medic in World War II from 1944 to 1946. He moved to Sedalia in 1946. He worked for Town and Country Shoes, retiring after 39 years. He was a member of Antioch Fellowship Church and the Sedalia Senior Center. He enjoyed target shooting.
Also surviving are a daughter, Teresa Louise Lemmon, of Sedalia; a sister, Ruth Jeannine Hannah, of Bolckow, MO; a nephew, Delvon Hannah, of Bolckow, MO; a niece, Dove Seeger, of Alabama; two great nieces and one great nephew.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Downing officiating.
