John Ray Lippert, Jr.,  61, of Sedalia, died Friday, August 22, 2003, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born August 19, 1942, in Bell, California, son of John Ray and Anna L. Walter Lippert, Sr. 

Mr. Lippert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member of the Sedalia Jaycees.  He attended Central Business College and the Kansas City Business College.  He owned a race car and enjoyed car races.  He was a United States Navy Veteran.

Survivors include his mother, Anna L. Bluhm of Sedalia; his father, John Ray Lippert, Sr. of Taft, California; a brother, Dr. Fred Bluhm of Sedalia; and sister, Cheryl Ann Bluhm of Sedalia.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home with Father Jack Behen officiating.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Shireman, Archie Shireman, Jr., Gene Shireman, Richard Shireman, Bob Shane and Jim Bus.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
