Lola Edna Jenkins, 86, of Las Animas, Colo., formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Colorado.
She was born April 9, 1922, in Fortuna, a daughter of Lank and Ola Hays Woods. On
Aug. 22, 1942, in Sedalia, she was married to Lewis Paul Jenkins, who died May 18, 2003.
Lola moved to Sedalia as a young girl. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist
Church. In 1952, they moved to Las Animas to make their home. She was later a member of First Nazarene Church of La Junta, Colorado.
Surviving are a son, Paul J. Jenkins, and his wife, Kay, of Las Animas; a granddaughter, Paula Kay Fahrenholtz, and her husband, Adam, of Overland Park, Kan.; four brothers, Jackie Woods, Dennis Woods, Loyal Woods, all of Indian River, Mich., and Dental Woods, of Dearborn, Mich.; and a sister, Irene Milano, of Clearlake Oaks, Calif.
She was also predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Bill; and two sisters, Maxine and Juanita.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.
