Mr. Parker was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He enjoyed traveling. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Parker, and his wife, Jane, and Bill Parker, and his wife, Donna, all of Springfield; two grandchildren, Rachel Parker and Brian Parker; a brother, Gene Parker, of Kansas City; two sisters, Mary Boyer, of Lee's Summit, and Patricia Fender, of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Parker.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.
Casket bearers will be James Talbert, Larry Knowles, Larry O'Neill, Jim Privett, Brian Parker, and Ryan Emmons.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Lee H. Parker, 87, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born May 12, 1922, in Pettis County, a son of Floyd and Carrie Rector Parker. On July 19, 1946, in Sedalia, he married Marian J. Brummet, who survives of the home.
