Mrs. Young was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed crappie fishing, flowers, family history, and collecting historical books. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She had worked Town & Country Shoes until it closed and Garst's Drive-in.

Surviving are a son, Paul Young, and his wife, Linda, of Sedalia; two daughters, Debbie Wissman, and her husband, Dan, and Kim Anderson, and her husband, Brett, of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Danny Wissman, Derrick Wissman, Kristina Semler, Kerri Anderson, and Katie Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Nick Semler Jr., Kayla Semler, and Addison Wissman; and a brother, Roy Dean DeHaven, of Sedalia.

She was also predeceased by a brother, James DeHaven.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating.

Casket bearers will be Danny Wissman, Derrick Wissman, Nick Semler, Dan Wissman, Brett Anderson, and Greg Hilderbrand.

Honorary bearers will be Johnny Mein and Eddie Clark.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church.

Lena Marie Young, 71, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

She was born October 22, 1937, in Green Ridge, the daughter of Clyde H. and Rosie Anderson DeHaven. On May 14, 1955, in Sedalia, she married Cecil P. Young, who died July 3, 1997.
