Hong worked for Waterloo Industries. He was a loving and caring person, and a devout Christian. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his parents, of Sedalia; a brother, Tai Mach, and his wife, Eunice, of Blue Springs; a sister, Kim Lammers, and her husband, Matt, of Columbia; a niece, Elisabeth; and a nephew, Timothy.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home.


Hong Tien Mach, 45, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009, at his home.

He was born Jan. 3, 1964, in Saigon, Vietnam, a son of Loi and Minh Hua Mach.
