Granville H. "Bud" Masoner, 79, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, Texas.

He was born, March 20, 1924, in Irwin, Missouri, son of Granville H. and Isabella Hartman Masoner, Sr.

Mr. Masoner owned and operated Masoner Jewelry in Sedalia. He was an Army veteran of World War II and had lived most of his life in Sedalia.

Survivors include two sons, Gaylan Masoner of Independence, Missouri, and Warren Masoner of Sedalia; three sisters, Mary Cushnie of Seattle, Washington, Clara Karr of Arch City, Kansas, and Jane Leigh of Camdenton, Missouri; two brothers, William Masoner of Joplin, Missouri, and Charles Masoner of Raymore, Missouri; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2003, at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.

Pallbearers will be Don Timbers, Jerry Baker, Raymond Bell, Paul Brewer, Bill Capps, Jim Hamilton, Van White and Joe Wasson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Allcorn, Delbert Arnold, George Fairfax, Ron Hinkle, Wayne Houchen, Clyde Roark, Charles Ramseyer and Don Weaver.

Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, north of Warrensburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
