Mr. Maune was a member of First Christian Church. He was past master of
Granite Lodge 272 AF & AM and past patron of Sedalia Chapter 57 Order of the Eastern Star. He retired from Sedalia School District 200, where he was a bus driver and maintenance worker. He enjoyed fishing, and collecting and restoring antiques.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Hackler, of Lone Jack; a son, Marvin Maune, of Newbern, N.C.; six grandchildren, Laura Brown, Amy Wilson, Kristen Hackler, Nathan Maune, Dietrich Maune and Aaron Maune; 11 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by a sister, Verna Williams.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Lawhead officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jody Brown, Jim Wilson, Eric Hackler, Matthew Brown, Bob
Williams and Ken Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Maune, Dietrich Maune and Nathan Maune.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral
home.

Elmer Emil Maune, 92, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville.
He was born July 20, 1913, in Union, a son of Fred B. and Emma Young Maune. On April 16, 1936, in Eldon, he was married to Mary Genevieve Starling, who died
October 23, 1979.
