Leslie D. McMullin, 95, of Cole Camp, formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp.
He was born January 18, 1908, in Pettis County, Missouri, near Beaman. On July 31, 1934, in Smithton, he married Genevieve Pauline Schupp, who died January 13, 2000.
Mr. McMullin was a member of First Baptist Church. He worked as a cattle, hog and row crop farmer. He worked for Manor Bakery for three years and he and his wife owned and operated Grand Cleaners for four years. He attended Lamine School near Clifton City and had lived in Pettis County all of his life.
Surviving are twenty-seven nephews and nieces, including John McMullin, Don McMullin, Glenn McMullin, Wayne McMullin, Lyle McMullin, Daryle McMullin, Mildred Walker, Kay Hepburn, JoAnn Birdsong, Delores Cantwell, LaVera Fisher and Alda Steele, all of Sedalia.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed McMullin, John McMullin and Frank McMullin; and three sisters, Etha Retheford, Elsie Deuschle and Zelma Selbach.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Bigelow officiating.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Schupp, Jerry Selbach, John McMullin, Glenn McMullin, Wayne McMullin and Virgil Wills.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
