Mrs. Meyer taught at Striped College, Horace Mann and Whittier Schools in Sedalia. She moved to Kansas City and taught in the public schools until 1977. Mary Helen was a member of Kansas City Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher’s Society International.
Survivors include a sister, Frances Meyer, of Kansas City; and cousins, Helen V. Norton and Nancy L. Pate.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Harold Edwin Meyer.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Jason Veale officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Kingswood Endowment Fund.
Mary Helen Meyer, 89, of Kansas City, formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Kingswood Manor in Kansas City.
She was born June 14, 1915, in Sedalia, daughter of Franklin B. and Luella Duncan Meyer.
