Mrs. Miller was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching television, shopping, going on trips and spending time with her grandchildren. Shelby worked for Lamy’s Manufacturing  for six years and later she and her daughter owned and operated Rainbow Connections Day Care. She lived most all of her life in Sedalia.

Survivors also include a son, David Fisher and his wife Crystal, of Holts Summit; three daughters, Debra Callahan, of Holts Summit, Linda Pace, of Holts Summit and Tressie Miller of the home; five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; a brother Elvin Fox, of Jefferson City; three half brothers, Freddie Fox, Harold Fox, Robert Fox, all of Sedalia; two half sisters, Linda Lentz, of Sedalia and Pauline Lentz, of Springfield. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Mary J. Buscha.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2008, at Heckart Funeral Home  with Brother, Don Munford officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bond, Tim Carr, John Cook, Johnathon Cook, Michael Fisher and Joey Card.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the funeral home. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral Home. Condolences may also be sent online at www.heckartfuneralhome.com

Shelby Jean Miller, 68, of Sedalia, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, at St. Mary’s Health Center, Jefferson City.

She was born February 2, 1940, in Sedalia, a daughter of Everett and Alma Lee McCurdy Fox. On June 30, 1983, in Sedalia, she married Charles R. Miller, who survives of the home.
