Margaret Myrth Jenkins, 86, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at Four Seasons Living Center.
She was born December 24, 1917, in Pettis County, daughter of James D. and Marie Shafer Smith. In December of 1939, she married Joseph Jenkins, who died September 23, 1990.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Longwood Ladies Extension Club. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Sedalia and Pettis County area all of her life.
Survivors include a daughter Carolyn Parson, and her husband, Rowan, of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Tom Smith, of Smithton, Robert Smith, of Ozark, and Ed Smith, of Edmond, Okla.; four sisters, Mary Klosterman, of Seattle, Wash., Dorothy Larrimore, of Los Angeles, Calif., Martha Bohon, of Windsor, and Shirley Doty, of Sedalia; a granddaughter, Amy Woolsey, of Dallas, Texas; and two great grandchildren, Logan Woolsey and Emma Woolsey. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2004, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Frederick Zahn officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Werneke, Bill Werneke, Doug Bohon, Barry Edward, John Boyer and George Harvey.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Children’s Therapy Center or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
