Mollie Marie Mosby, 93, of Sedalia, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri.

She was born July 25, 1909, in Kansas City, Kansas, daughter of Fredick S. and Eva Lena Caton Brown.  On December 18, 1926, in Sedalia, she married Harry Alonzo Mosby, who preceded her in death on Decmeber 17, 1997.

Mrs. Mosby was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church since 1936, where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School class and had taught in the primary and junior Sunday School departments.  She was a member of AARP and NARVE.  She was a housewife and had worked for Scott's Dollar Store and the Smith-Cotton High School cafeteria.  She liked quilting, crocheting, and canning. 

She is survived by a son, Harry A. Mosby, Jr. of Liberty; three sisters, Lulu Warren, Melsena Drake and Evaleen Kemnitz, all of Whittier, CA; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn E. Mosby; four brothers, Noah, Aaron, Fred and Donald Brown; and a sister, Anna Martin. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim West officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Ron Mosby, Gary Mosby, Ron Elliott, Chris Elliott, Matt Kitahara and Joshua Jones.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Friends may also sign the guest book online at www.heckart-gillespie.com. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to East Sedalia Baptist Church.
