Mrs. Taylor was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She worked at
Sedalia Drug and was supervisor of the Coffee Shop at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She had lived all of her life in Sedalia. She spent her lifetime caring for family and friends. She had a special relationship with her daughter-in-law, Sandy.
Survivors include a son, Robert Taylor, and his wife, Sandy, of Sedalia; a brother,
James Parrish, of Independence; five sisters, Margaret Ferrell, of Wichita, Kan., Ila M.
Nichols, of Independence, Betty Smith, of Whittier, Calif., Lu Knight, of Deland, Fla., and Doris Klein, of Sedalia; a granddaughter, Jennifer Mills; three step grandchildren, Michael Douglas, Lonnie Douglas and Michelle Blevins; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Marie Taylor, in infancy; a brother,
Donald L. Parrish; and a sister, Donna Jean Parrish.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Wasson officiating. Burial will be in Miller’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Van White, Linn Snow, Ralph Spurrier, Tom Neff, Jerry Long and
Don Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be Eva Dean Ball, Virginia Klein, Melva Hepburn, Anna Marie Bellamy and Diane Barker.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the
funeral home. The family suggested contributions to Epworth United Methodist Church.
Marjorie Lucille Taylor, 88, of Sedalia, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Rest Haven Nursing Home.
She was born July 20, 1918, in Sedalia, a daughter of Lee S. and Pearl Franklin Parrish. On Aug. 30, 1940, in Sedalia, she married Sterling S. Taylor, who died Jan. 26, 1995.
