Mrs. Nelson was a member of Broadway Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was committed to studying the Bible and telling others about Jesus. She taught piano lessons and loved music. She enjoyed reading and writing, and had many poems published.
Also surviving are three daughters, Linda Walton, and her husband, Ellis, of Churchview, Virg., Betty Jo Gillespie, of Sedalia, and Michelle Gaertner, and her
husband, Jim, of Green Ridge; a stepdaughter, Linda Pospisil, and her husband,
Mark, of Sedalia; a stepson, Mike Nelson, and his wife, Debbie, of Sedalia; 12
grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a niece, Sheri Downs, of Detroit,
Mich.
She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Downs.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Broadway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating.

Bonnie Louise Nelson, 78, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at her home.
She was born March 4, 1928, in Mansfield, a daughter of Sylvia Cavanaugh. On Sept. 15, 1975, at New Hope Baptist Church, in Sedalia, she was married to Tom R. Nelson, who survives of the home.
