Nancy Jane Meyer, 81, of Miami, Missouri, formerly of Sedalia, died Tuesday,
June 21, 2005, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born December 18, 1923, in Windsor, a daughter of Jesse and Nancy
Jennings Peek. On December 18, 1967, in Blackburn, she was married to Atwell Meyer, who died earlier
Mrs. Meyer was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Blackburn.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Peek, of Miami, and Arnold “Jim” Peek, of Sedalia;
three daughters, Sue Miller, of Warsaw, Lillian Lindeen, of Moleen, Ill., and Brenda Dierking, of Higginsville; thirteen grandchildren; three step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three children at birth; a grandson and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dutch Boer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Juan Gonzales, Darren Snow, Jason Morgan, Jeffrey Beard, Delbert Priesmeyer and Harley DePue.
Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
