Deborah Kay Oswald, 55, of Sedalia, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Bothwell
Regional Health Center.
She was born May 19, 1952, in Sedalia, a daughter of Jimmie Daniel and Shirley V. Vinson Vansell.
Ms. Oswald worked at Waterloo Industries. She enjoyed sports, especially
playing softball and watching her children and grandchildren play. She was a Pentecostal.
Surviving are a daughter, Sydney Whittall, and her husband, Eric, of Sedalia; a son, Scott West, and his fiancé, Rachel Craig, of Sedalia; her mother, of Sedalia; two sisters, Janice Lefevers, of Sedalia, and Joetta Mark, of Lee’s Summit; two brothers, Michael Vansell, of Dresden, and Jimmie Vansell Jr., of Sedalia; and six grandchildren, Alex, Harlie, Carin, Ryan, Machezney and Grace.
She was predeceased by her father; her maternal grandparents, John and Bessie Vinson; and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Gertie Vansell.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2007, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gordon Adair officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service Thursday at the
funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to her grandchildren’s education
fund.
