Mrs. Hoard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked at Lamy’s Manufacturing for 29 years and later at Four Seasons Living Center and Ryan’s Steakhouse. She liked gardening ,reading, cooking and crafts.
Survivors include a son, Ray B. Hoard, and his wife, Brenda, of Collins; three daughters, Patty M. Hoard, Theresa Acklin, and her husband, Stephen, and Marcia Deuel, and her husband, Keith, all of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Austin Donahue, Dakota Donahue, Derrick Hoard, Brandon Hoard, Miranda Hoard, Jacob Acklin, Logan Acklin, Christopher Deuel and Caleb Deuel; a sister, Joan O’Dell, of LaMonte; five brothers, Larry Young, of Sedalia, John Young, of Pilot Grove, Raymond Young, of Otterville, Frank Young, of Boonville and Vernon Young, of Clifton City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Timothy Armbruster, CPPS officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ray Hoard, Steve Acklin, Lawrence Young, J. J. Young, G. L. O’Dell and Joanie O’Dell.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Patricia Hoard memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
Patricia Coletta Hoard, 56, of Sedalia, died Sunday, November 26, 2006, at her home.
She was born March 7, 1950, in Sedalia, a daughter of Lawrence B. and Coletta C. Twenter Young. On June 12, 1971, she was married to Ray S. Hoard, who died July 6, 1986.
