Sarah Ola Poterbin, 83, of Sedalia, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born March 10, 1926, in Kansas City, KS, a daughter of James Fred and Audra Cash Peters. She was married to Ray Butler, who died earlier. On Nov. 1, 1975, in Kansas City, MO, she married James Poterbin, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Poterbin was a member of Parkview Christian Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and exercising. She owned beauty shops in Riverside and Gravois Mills.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Jim Butler, and wife, Kay, of Lincoln, MO, Steve Butler, and wife, Cheryl, of Kansas City, MO, Greg Butler, of Kansas City, MO, Barry Butler, of Mesa, AZ, and Brad Butler, of Platte City, MO; nine step-children; 30 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Orendorph, of Kansas City, KS.
She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Christian Church in Sedalia, with the Rev. Rodney Brown and the Rev. Sam Hinkle officiating.
Burial will be in Clinton Memory Gardens in Clinton, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
