Mrs. Rader grew up in Otterville, where she graduated from high school in 1930. She enjoyed cooking, reading, making quilts, making Christmas candy, reading and watching hummingbirds. She loved cats.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue Barr Parrish, and her husband, Dick, of Sedalia; a son, Robert J. Edwards, and his wife, Kathryn, of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Nancy Sanders, Kristen Edwards and Brian Barr; and four great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John P. Dunham II and William C. Dunham; and a sister, Kathryn Rader.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Wasson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tim Dunham, Steve Dunham, Leonard Singer, Vernon Horn, Gary Eckerle and William Ream.
Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Mt. Herman Cemetery fence fund.
Helen Berry Rader, 92, of Pilot Grove, formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove.
She was born Oct. 18, 1913, in Otterville, a daughter of John Patterson and Ruth Berry Dunham. On May 19, 1941, in Warsaw, she was married to Woodrow Wilson Rader, who died April 27, 1998.
