Ray Allee, 74, of Sedalia, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health
Center.
He was born Aug. 13, 1932, in California, Missouri, a son of William Armon and
Eddyth Carol Kesterson Allee. On May 6, 1955, in Otterville, he was married to Ruth Fisher, who survives of the home.
Mr. Allee was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and
Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed making wood crafts, racing and fishing.
He had worked for LP & H Construction Company for several years, before owning
Otterville Lumber Company. Most recently, he worked for Home Lumber Company in
Sedalia. He was also a self-employed carpenter.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret Walje, and her husband, Mark, of Otterville; a
son, Jeff Allee, and his wife, Sherry, of Cassville; a son-in-law, Doug Shivers, and his wife, Laura, of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Brandon Allee, Jeremy Shivers, and his wife, Amanda, Melissa Walje, Abby Shivers, Shawn Allee, Micah Walje, Katie Shivers and Becca Shivers; one great grandson, Gage Shivers; three brothers, Jack Allee, and his wife, Mary, of Sedalia, Irvin Allee, and his wife, Jackie, of Sedalia, and Glen Allee, and his wife, Mona, of Otterville; and six sisters, Cleo Anderson, and her husband, Gene, of Sedalia, Fay Mullins, and her husband, Al, of Otterville, Joy Shirley, and her husband, Wes, of Sedalia, June Frontera, of Sedalia, Dixie Rowen, of Sedalia, and Mae Meyer, and her husband, Harvey, of Sedalia.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Shivers; and a brother, Paul Allee.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at Bethany Baptist Church, with the Rev. Craig Bowen and the Rev. Joseph Braden officiating.
Pallbearers will be Glen Allee, and nephews, Melvin Mullins, Randy Mullins, Jerry
Mullins, Jim Cooper, Richard Young, Paul Meyer and Alan Allee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Mullins, John Ralston, David Meyer and Adam
Allee.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Clarksburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bethany Baptist Church.
