Ruth L. Bremer, 93, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Rest Haven Nursing Home.
She was born May 20, 1916, in Jamestown, MO., a daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Roedel Dietzel. On September 27, 1936, in Sedalia, she married Hersel E. Bremer who died February 4, 1991.
Ruth was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ. She taught children's Sunday School , was a member of the Fun and Fellowship Club and Rebekah Circle at church.
Survivors include a son, Dick Bremer and his wife Leora of Sedalia and a grandson, Ryan Bremer and his fiancée Sara Adams , Oakland, CA and family friend, Paul Fath, Sedalia. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Bruce and Martha Eldred.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel United Church of Christ with pastor Brady Abel officiating. Pallbearers will be Ryan Bremer, Don Barbour, Phil Gerlt, Walter Foster, Cecil Oehrke and Bobby Oehrke. Honorary bearers will be William Gerlt, Sam Mehan, Wayne Baslee and Paul Fath.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorial s are suggested to the Immanuel United Church of Christ Church and Crossroads Hospice.
