Mr. Ream was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He worked for 30 years on the family farm, and also at Waterloo Industries as a forklift operator. He decorated his forklift for the holidays. He enjoyed baking, cake decorating, woodworking, the farm, gardening and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brandon Ream, of Smithton, and Brent Ream, and his wife, Kim, of Sedalia; his mother, Betty Galland, of Bakersfield, CA; a brother, Scott Randall, of Bakersfield, CA; an aunt and uncle, Jim and Dottie Ream, of Sedalia; numerous nieces and nephews; and three granddogs, Sprocket, Lucky and Gunner.

He was predeceased by his father; a sister, Debbie Barker; and grandparents, Tom and Mary Ream, and Josephine Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Bergman, the Rev. Ed Broyles, and Dr. Mike Mueller officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jason Chavies, Jeff Walsh, Ryan Watterson, Brad Watterson, Brett Watterson, Joe Waller and Paul Kreisel.

Honorary bearers will be George & JoAnn Harvey, Al Kindle, Dorothy Phillips, Roy & Kathy Teague, Karis & Shirley Upton, Jack & Linda Watterson, Rita Lutz, Dr. Stephen Welsh, Kay Butler, Lisa Mueller, Ron Smith, Paul & Ginger Coffelt, Larry & Doris Mueller, Robby Barker, Nancy Shay, John Mueller, and Julie Waller.

Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hopewell Baptist Church or the Children’s Therapy Center.
Jan Robert "Bob" Ream, 58, of Hughesville, passed on to his reward in heaven Friday afternoon, April 10, 2009.

He was born March 26, 1951, in Sedalia, a son of Robert Landis and Betty Goode Ream. On July 28, 1975, in Hughesville, he married Diane Mueller, who survives of the home.
