Mr. Reyburn was a member of First Baptist Church. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1985, where he was a marketing representative. He was a 1949 graduate of the University of Missouri. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Clint Reyburn, and his wife, Mary Ann, of Sedalia; a daughter, Beth Meyer, and her husband, Don, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Alan Meyer, Kevin Meyer, Jennifer Reyburn and Melissa Reyburn; a great granddaughter, Daija Reyburn; a brother, Stephen Reyburn, of Kansas, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Chesley Reyburn and Theodore Reyburn.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating.
Casket bearers will be Sammy Truesdell, John Truesdell, Howard Truesdell, Alan Meyer, Kevin Meyer, Jennifer Reyburn and Melissa Reyburn.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, with military honors by VFW Post 2591.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church.
Richard O. "Dick" Reyburn, 84, of Sedalia, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Moberly, a son of Chesley Richard and Mary Ellen McAllister Reyburn. On Oct. 11, 1947, in Moberly, he married Alene Rebecca Truesdell, who survives of the home.
