Sylvia Marie “Rita” Sanchez Warren Reynolds, 62, of Olathe, Colo., died at
her home in July.
She was born Nov. 25, 1944, in Sedalia, a daughter of Howard Earl and Sylvia
Marie Phelps Warren. On Oct. 1, 1965, in Miami, Okla., she was married to Melvin R. Reynolds Jr., who survives of the home.
Mrs. Reynolds graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1962. Her many
endeavors included legal secretary and paralegal for numerous law firms in Denver, Colorado, owner and broker of Reynolds Insurance in Gunnison, Colorado, and owner and manger of Capri Bowl in Nevada, Missouri. She was an entrepreneur with many interests.
She will be remembered a loving and caring wife, a dedicated mother, and a
friend with a big heart, who always gave a helping hand to those in need. She will be dearly missed by all.
Also surviving are a son, Robert Matthew Reynolds; four brothers, Steven Jack Bridges, of Kansas City, Christopher Eugene Semkin, of Kansas City, Steve
Sanchez and Edward Sanchez, both of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Linda Kay Cairer, of Jefferson City, Cynthia Marlene Vaughan, of Somerset, N.J., Yvonne Jimenez and Dora Guenther, both of San Antonio, Texas; and her favorite uncle, Edgar Phelps, of Sedalia.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ken Tatkenhorst officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
